The quality control compliance specialist/contract administration coordinator provides leadership for the quality assurance program for all projects assigned to a field construction office.

As the successful candidate, you will coordinate ODOT and contractor personnel to ensure contract requirements of the program are compiled with. You will also provide support to the contract admin specialist with construction admin processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, surveying, or transportation-related engineering AND
  • One (1) year civil engineering or surveying experience.

    OR
     
  • An associate's degree in engineering technology or surveying from a recognized community college or technical school of engineering AND
  • Two (2) and one-half (1/2) years of engineering or surveying experience.
    One (1) year of this experience must have been working independently or as a senior member of a team or work group.

    OR
     
  • Four years of *para-professional engineering or surveying experience.
    One (1) year of this experience must have been working independently or as a senior member of a team or work group.

    OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Para-professional engineering experience primarily includes performing drafting, inspection/surveying work, reviewing the work of lower level engineering specialists, and has not authority for authorizing changes.

Special Qualifications:
  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers' license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Attributes:

Your application will be graded based on the following preferred attributes. Applicants whose knowledge, experience and skills that most closely meet the attributes below will be invited to interview.

  • Proven knowledge and skills in material testing, quality control/compliance and/or construction project inspection.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to work with others, and ability to adapt to changing technology.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics and highway construction procedures and practices.
  • Skill in reading, interpreting and applying technical manuals specifications, contract plans and other guides.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications in CAgT, CEBT, CDT, CAT-I, CAT-II, CCT and QCT. CMDT is desirable.
