Tolls Division Systems Development Manager
WSDOT has an exciting opportunity for an experienced management professional to provide leadership over the development and implementation of toll systems for the state of Washington.
As a Toll Systems Development manager, you'll be responsible for SR 99 tunnel toll design completion, installation, testing and go-live budgeted at $9 million, the procurement, design, installation and testing for the replacement of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge toll system budgeted at $10 million, as well as coordination, design and procurement for future tolled systems on I-405, SR167, and SR509.
This position will perform the following work:
•Development of project contract documents and design negotiations.
•Successful construction management and installation, testing and acceptance of tolling and systems management components of major urban corridor projects.
•Management of the software development life cycle for toll systems.
•Turn-on and initial operational aspects and performance measurements of the tolling and systems.
•Facilitating peer discussions and resolution of tolling and systems management issues with staff from various regions.
•Other duties as assigned.
An ideal candidate for this position will possess:
•A bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
•Five years of project or organizational management experience.
•Background in traffic engineering, highway operations, software development and/or systems development.
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to make time-sensitive decisions.
•Working knowledge of freeway analysis, transportation systems management, ITS/electrical systems design, and managing software development.
