Engineering Associate Trainee
The Transportation Engineering Associate (TEA) Program gives the recent civil engineering graduate an opportunity for professional training in construction, maintenance, planning and design during an 18/24-Month Period. Candidates accepted into this program must be flexible and willing to relocate while on the program and must be willing to accept employment where there is a need and vacancy (statewide) upon completion of the program. The next TEA Training Program will begin on January 2, 2018. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies General knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering; Ability to learn general knowledge of modern methods and techniques as related to the design, location, construction, and maintenance of highways and bridges; Good communication skills both written and orally; Knowledge of Drafting; Basic understanding of technologies including PC, CADD Workstation; Knowledge of level/transit, survey duties, and perform inspection duties. Work is subject to strenuous physical activity and extreme temperatures. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
