Our Information Technology Division located in Tumwater, WA is hiring a manager for the Information Resource Management section.
Within Data Management Services, the manager of Information Resource Management (IRM) oversees business intelligence coordination and operation for the agency, the design of the agency's data resources (data modeling and data architecture); and the inventory, organization, and description of the agency's data and information assets (data cataloging, taxonomy development, and metadata).
This position will perform the following work:
•Develop the strategic and tactical plans for managing the agency's information assets.
•Manage the business unit responsible for the provision of database design services, metadata and taxonomy management services, and the coordination and delivery of business intelligence services.
•Provide database design support and guidance to all agency application development efforts.
•Oversee the delivery of business intelligence services.
•Oversee the provision of metadata and taxonomy management services.
An ideal candidate for this position will have:
•Ten years of experience working in Information Technology within data management and/or application development.
•Eight years of experience working in Information Technology within data management and/or application development and a four-year degree in computer science, mathematics or closely related field.
•Four years of supervisory experience.
•Four years of experience performing requirements gathering, writing technical documentation, creating presentations, speaking to audiences, and/or developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures and best practices.
•Three years of experience managing or administering business intelligence services.
•Three years of experience applying information management best practices.
•A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics or related field.
