Construction/Utilities Coordination Team Leader (Transportation Design Engineer V)

All candidates serve an initial probationary period of 6 months, which may be extended to 12 months. The main purpose of this position is to function as a Team Leader and Licensed Professional Engineer completing Project Management related to Engineering Design and/or for performing the detailed review of the Engineering Design of complex, significant transportation projects; developing and managing constructability review efforts; and planning, managing, and supervising the coordination of all utility work for highway related transportation projects within the Office of Highway Development. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, performing detailed constructability reviews of Engineering Design and preparing reports, developing alternative construction sequences to address maintenance of traffic, construction staging issues, utility impacts and relocations, or environmental constraints, developing engineering specifications, overseeing the work of consultant and SHA staff, and other duties as prescribed. This position will serve as a Team Leader managing construction engineering and utility coordination programs and will supervise lower level engineers, both Licensed and non-Licensed, technicians, and consultants in the development of engineering solutions and reviews of highway related transportation projects.
