Director, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is a major agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation with a mission to ensure that America’s transportation system is the best in the world through its roles as Leaders for National Mobility, stewards for National Highway Programs, and as Innovators for a Better Future. To help fulfill this mission, the agency is seeking candidates for the executive leadership vacancy of the Director of the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division located in Sterling, VA. The incumbent of this position will oversee a professional staff of 255 employees in implementing Federal Lands and Tribal transportation programs goals and initiatives, and delivering and managing over 200 annual road and bridge improvement projects in 31 eastern States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.
