Engineer I - Lincoln
This position is located in Lincoln NE. Applications accepted ONLINE ONLY at

Manage assigned projects from inception to completion. Generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare summary and protocols. Coordinate the analysis and testing data to the material's designed properties in order to avoid unintended problems during construction and provide solutions to a long service life. Research and develop future methods for characterizing the chemical reactivity and interactions among cementitious materials for establishing performance throughout the service life of pavements and structures. Conduct laboratory/forensic texting as needed for research evaluations.

Job location is 1400 Highway 2.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E. license).

PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related degree. Previous chemical engineering research and development experience. Demonstrated passion for creating innovative solutions to technically challenging problems through work experience in a research and product and/or process development environment. Two or more years of professional laboratory testing experience outside of school work. Two or more years of experience with engineering reviews and the preparation of technical reports. Previous research related experience in providing analytical analysis to data trends.

OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Engineering degrees must be from an EAC/ABET-accredited program. If applicants do not have an FE/EIT certificate, they will be required to obtain one within one year of hire. Regular and reliable attendance is also required. Requires completion of a supplemental questionnaire on or before the closing date.

Ability to compile relevant testing information in a clear and concise manner in order to write professional technical reports and report technical and scientific analysis. Applicants must be motivated, energetic, and detail oriented with research related work experience in providing analytical analysis to data trends. Ability to communicate effectively to receive instructions and have a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to excel in an individual and team work environment. Ability to set priorities on work assignments and make appropriate decisions to solve problems when needed. Strong chemical engineering research and development capabilities.
