Coordinator I, Center for Transportation Research - 18000000OW 


 Pay Grade: 39


This full-time exempt status position through the Center for Transportation Research of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville will be funded through a grant with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). The position will be located in the TDOT office in Nashville to provide support to the Long Range Planning Division. The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and processing grantee contracts and amendments, reviewing and processing grantee invoices, monitoring and closing out grantee contracts and assisting the Supervisor as needed with the State Planning and Research (SPR) Work Program. May be asked to provide additional support to other Administration Office personnel.



 Minimum/Required Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree along with experience equivalent to two - three years of increasing responsibility in a local or state government agency contracting office. Contractual and invoice management skills with attention to detail are required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, strong organization and time management skills are also required. Proven customer service skills are essential as this position will be working with program staff and grantees throughout the State of TN.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred, but another degree will be considered with related experience. Requires residency in the Nashville area since the TDOT office is located in downtown Nashville.
