State Traffic and Highway Safety Engineer
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking applications for the State Traffic and Highway Safety Engineer. The state traffic and highway safety engineer provides direction and support for statewide traffic management, traffic operations, and highway safety through the development of policies, goals and guidelines; provides technical assistance and support to the districts in interpretation of policy; partners with law enforcement agencies, safety organizations, and other entities to set and champion overall goals and direction for statewide highway safety programs and services. For more information and to view the entire job description, please visit our website REQUIREMENTS include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Candidates must be licensed or be prepared to achieve licensure as a Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri and have over nine years of experience in highway or transportation engineering and an understanding of best practices for traffic management and traffic operations; a passion for highway safety and the ability to invigorate and motivate others to action. The selected finalist must be a U.S. citizen and be or become a resident of the state of Missouri. MoDOT offers an excellent compensation package and the selected candidate has the flexibility to work at any location within the state of Missouri.
