The Position:

Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

This position is located within the Structures Division, Design Section in Carson City. Incumbent is responsible for developing structural design documents and providing construction support services for highway construction projects; performing structural engineering analysis and design of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and structural steel structures; and performing structural analysis and design of highway structures using the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Bridge Design Specifications.

To Qualify:

Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Additional Position Experience

This position requires work experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, or steel structures.
