Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services
involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in
connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines,
equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life,
health or property.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency
sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is in the
Inventory/Inspection Section of the Structures Division in Carson City.
Incumbent is responsible for structural inventory documents, performing
inventory inspections on new bridges following the requirements of Subpart C of
the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) of the Code of Federal
Regulations, 23 Highways Part 650, creating inspection reports, and working
with other divisions and entities within the state regarding bridge inventory
