This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications* listed below. This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy, and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification in the Office of Highway Development (Baltimore City). The position is the CADD Manager for SHA, functioning as a lead worker for developing, supporting and maximizing the efficiency of the SHA's Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) environment, its custom configurations, its manuals and guidelines. This will also include serving as the lead administrator for ProjectWise, SHA's project and design collaboration software, including the direct supervision of the on-site consultant supporting ProjectWise management and support. This position will work to develop CADD Design standards and processes, to support our civil engineering migration to 3-D design and e-construction. This position will also be a technical liaison between SHA and Bentley with regards to design needs, challenges, software evaluation, upgrades, and implementation. This position provides CADD and ProjectWise management for users across SHA, with actions impacting contractors and consultants doing business with SHA. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Five years of experience in administrative or professional work. One year of this experience must have involved one or more of the following: the supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures. Selective Qualification: Two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the management of Bentley CADD resources to include but not limited to Microstation, InRoads V8i and/or Open Roads, and Document management applications such as ProjectWise. *A selective qualification recruitment is conducted for positions when there is a specific or additional bona fide occupational qualification (i.e., knowledge, skill, or ability). Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience with the custom configuration of Bentley products, including MicroStation V8i, InRoads V8i, OpenRoads, ProjectWise Client, ProjectWise Administrator, maintenance of a ProjectWise Managed Workspace, and Bentley Cloud Services.
