Director of Maintenance of Mobility - Transportation Planning/Program Management
The Opportunity: WSDOT has an opportunity for a progressive executive-level professional opportunity for transportation systems professional with the desire to make a true difference. Reporting to the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Urban Mobility and Access, this Director serves as the agency's lead for Central Puget Sound focused on the planning and programming of an integrated transportation system that provides efficient and safe travel options for all modes, utilizing state-of-the-art practices and technology. The role this position plays is vital to the successful advancement of an integrated multimodal transportation system that supports change in how people access and utilize transportation services in this area of the state. Additionally this position will lead, coordinate, and facilitate a broad range of activities focused on ensuring freeway and arterial operational policies and investment plans exist and reflect the multi-modal and mobility performance needs from the perspective of all users. This Division is one of three divisions within the Office of Urban Mobility & Access. This position has critical influence on major projects within WSDOT including SR 520, I-405 and other historically large-scope planning activities. Your efforts will be supporting the agency's mission by helping develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options to improve livable communities and economic vitality for the public.
